Swim Lessons

We offer three sessions of swim lessons throughout the summer. Swim lessons meet four days per week M, T, TH, and F for 30 minutes. There are no lessons on Wednesdays. Each session is two weeks (8 lessons per session).

Swim lessons are for children ages 3 and older. Your child must be 3 years of age by May 31st per Red Cross Guidelines. Children must be potty trained to participate. Parents are invited to watch lessons on the pool deck the last day of each session. For the remaining days, parents to are asked to watch lessons outside the pool deck to accommodate lessons, swim team, and pool operation.

Lesson times are 10:00am-10:30am & 10:30am-11:00am

Fees are $40 for a member & $60 for a non member per child per session.

Session Dates:

Session 1: June 4 - June 15

Session 2: June 18 - June 29

Session 3: July 9 - July 20

No lessons the week of July 4

Registration Process:

New this year: Paper forms and payment will be collected starting on April 4 and email confirmations will begin to be sent on May 1.

Please drop forms and payment to the pool office.

Lessons fill up quickly and sessions and times will be closed to registration once capacity is reached.

NCH Swim Lesson Skill Levels

To make the most informed decision on selecting skill level, please review the report cards attached below for our revised swim lesson curriculum. This new curriculum is based on American Red Cross swim skills. We will assess all swimmers at the start of each session. Swimmers much master each skill before taking the exit test for each level. Successful completion of the exit test will be required to move up to the next level.
